SCARBOROUGH SEAWALL REMEDIATION

The construction of the wall and the steps incorporated pre-cast wall panels and insitu reinforced concrete steps. The steps were faced with a stone façade that complimented other stone walls and features of the nearby Scarborough Park.
All works were completed by Hunter Civil staff, including the precast fabrication (offsite), except for the stonework, which was completed by specialist stone mason “Southern Stone Masons”.

Located on one of the busiest Christchurch’s beaches, Sumner Beach; Scarborough Seawall Remediation project was of great importance not only due to wall stabilisation and erosion prevention but also providing a safe beach access and seating to all the beach goers.
